These Terms govern your use of the Elani service, including the website, email assistant, and related features (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and any email forwarding rules you set up.
• You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to connect accounts and provide data to Elani.

Using the Service

• You retain ownership of the content you provide. You grant Elani a limited license to process and store that content to deliver the Service.
• Elani may send emails, briefings, or alerts based on your requests or configured workflows.
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving actions that impact third parties.

Data Processing and Storage

To provide the Service, you authorize Elani to access connected accounts (such as Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts) and to store relevant content and metadata, including conversation history, task/insight records, and briefing outputs. You can revoke access at any time, and you may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

AI Outputs

The Service uses AI to generate drafts, summaries, and recommendations. It may also perform web searches, analyze URLs, or execute code to answer your questions. AI outputs, search results, and code execution results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for verifying all information and outputs before relying on them.

Acceptable Use

• Do not use the Service for illegal, harmful, or abusive activities.
• Do not attempt to access or disrupt systems without authorization.
• Do not use the Service to send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
• Do not reverse engineer or circumvent Service security features.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on providers such as Google, Cloudflare, Mailgun, Slack (if enabled), Axiom, Honeycomb, and PostHog. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elani will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms over time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent changes.
